Freshly Brewed Projects - Trees

Hello and welcome. It is time for another Freshly Brewed Projects and our  theme today is Trees. Coming up to the Christmas period, Christmas trees probably come to everyone's mind. But I wanted to do something a little different using a product from our Christmas catalogue. This is what I came up with.

I have no idea why this design came to me except that as soon as I pulled out the Home Together Dies, it popped into me head. I had intended to use the trees from the Trimming The Town Designer Series paper. But I love what I came up with just as much.

This was really simple to make. I just alternated which side of the die I used so that the trees alternated sides of the card front. Here are the dies, so you can see that I used the two different ends of the one die.

Now that you have seen my project, it is time to see what Jeanne has done.

Here is the list of everyone playing along.

Special of the Week

Poinsettia Place

Hello and welcome. Today sees the second installment in my series of cards using the Poinsettia Place Suite. This is a gorgeous suite full of classic Christmas images. Poinsettia's hold a special place in my heart as  they remind me of days gone by. They just seem to have a vintage feel to me. Perhaps it was my Nanna's Christmas tablecloth that has embedded that in my mind.

So these are the last four cards in my series. If you didn't catch the first installment, just look on the right hand side for a link to a post from a couple of days ago called Poinsettia Place. You will see the first four cards there.

I love a great floral stamp set that lends itself to such cool cards like this flowerpot one below.

If you have loved the cards in this series and like the idea of receiving these project kits, instructions and the stamp set, then make sure you register for the class before the 30th September. Class registrations close then. You can see all the details here or by clicking on the image below.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle

If you don't want to purchase the class, you can still purchase the supplies I have used in my online store here.

Big & Bold

Hello and welcome. Today I have something a little different to share. I wanted to try a new style of card. I normally am pretty safe with the style of cards I make, but I have recently seen some cards that had bold colours on them and a single large image. So I wanted to try it out. Here is my interpretation.

First up, let me apologise for the quality of this photo. I have had big computer issues and then phone issues, so it's not the best picture quality. Technology is wonderful until it fails. But I am sure you can still see the card and all it's components, just not as crisply as I would like.

The first thing that strikes you when you look at this card is the colours. Nice and bright. The Magenta Madness, Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight just pop against the black. I took those colours from the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper I used for the poppy from the Poppy Moments Dies. And of course I had to add some of the gorgeous Rainbow Glimmer paper for the leaves.

Have you tried the new Foam Adhesive Sheets yet? They are amazing and makes the Hello on  this card really pop. With so much going on with this card, I felt that the sentiment needed to be able to stand out as well.

Lastly, I just had to add some bling to the centre of the flower. The Artistry Blooms Adhesive Baked Sequins were perfect for this.

Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle
