Stampin' For Christmas Monthly Blog Hop

Hello and welcome. It is time for another Stampin' For Christmas Monthly Blog Hop. Every month throughout the year we will be creating Christmas cards to share with you. What a wonderful way to get all your cards made through the year so it's not so rushed close to the event. I think we can all relate that we always think we have lots of time to get things done and then realise we have left it way too late to get started.

I decided to make a simple card for today. I didn't want it to involve too many supplies or take a lot of time. So I came up with this.

I used just one stamp, two ink pads, but you could stamp the sentiment black so you don't need a second ink  pad. I also used a punch, a ruler, a black marker and one Stampin' Blend. It may sound like a lot for a card, but believe me when I get creating I can use up to twenty products to make a card.

I drew the ribbon onto the card front using the marker and coloured it with the blends. Then popped the punched ribbon in the middle.

This design would be a great one to prepare in stages if you are making them in bulk. I always find doing the same bit on each card at once, rather than completing a card and starting the next, seems to make the process go a lot quicker. Also, if you have down time while you watch the kids at sport or dance rehearsals, you could stamp and punch all your bows before hand. Just take the bows and a marker to colour them in while you wait.

Now that you have seen my card, it is time to see what Brenda has made.
