Water colour

Hello and welcome. Today I have a water coloured project to share with you. Water colour is the theme for this weeks Simply Inked Team Highlights.

I am not that great at water colouring but it is something that I am sure with practice, I will get better at. So I thought it was time I had another play. This is what I came up with.

I am actually really pleased with the piece of water colouring on this card. I think in the past I have tried to do a complete card front with water colour, and possibly that was too big a canvas for me. When I sat down to make this card and I pulled out my water colour paper, I had a piece that had already had some die cuts taken out of it. It wasn't full card front size but too big to throw away. So I coloured what was left of it and when it dried, cut out the piece I have on my card. I think the trick for me is going to be getting the effect right on smaller pieces before I attempt card front sizes.

If you have any tips and tricks for water colouring, I would love to hear them. Pop any advice you have for me in the comments.

Fiona from the team played along this week and you see her amazing creation here.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle
