Dandelion Wishes

Hello and welcome. It is time for another Simply Inked Team Highlights. Each week I set a theme and if anyone in the team wants to play along and create a project, I show case them on my post or link to their blog if they have one.

Our theme this week is stripes. What  a great general theme. You can use a striped stamp, or several stamps to make a striped pattern. You can use a striped pattern paper or use strips of coloured card stock like I did to create my stripes.

I had some strips of different coloured card stock laying on my desk from another project, so when I sat down to create this project I naturally thought to use them. I just added a third colour and cut some of the stips into thinner sections, then randomly glue them down onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. I ran it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to create the frame under the sentiment piece.

Beryl has played along this week as well and has made two wonderful cards. A male card and a female card.

I love how Beryl always decorates inside the card and the envelopes. She has used the following products - Male Card - Plaid Tidings DSP, Best Catch Stamp Set, Crushed Curry Cardstock, Memento stamp pad. Female Card - Magenta Madness Cardstock, Blend, Ink Pad, Crushed Curry Blend, Just Jade Blend, Fancy Phrases stamp set, 2020-2022 In Colour DSP, Rectangle Postage Punch, and Metallic Edge Ribbon
You can purchase the current product Beryl has used from her online store here.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle

Under My Umbrella

Hello and welcome. Today I am taking part in a new blog hop called Share It Sunday. Yes I know it's a Monday when I am posting this, but the organiser of the blog hop is in the northern hemisphere so it's Sunday where she is.

The idea of this blog hop is to just share something we have been working on. Just to share something creative to inspire others. Recently I have been playing with the Under My Umbrella stamp set and the Umbrella Builder Punch, both from the annual catalogue. I know most everyone is focused on Christmas cards, but every so often I like to take a break from the Christmas prep and do something different.

I have had this stamp set and punch for some time and haven't used them until now. I guess I saw them in the catalogue, and the pretty samples accompanying them, and just had to have them. We all do that right! Buy things because we love them, then don't use them as we get side tracked with something else we just have to have. I am determined to not keep repeating this pattern. We will see how successful I will be with that....hehehe

Now that you have seen my crafty share, it is time to see what everyone else has made.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle

Joy To The World Paper Pumpkin

Hello and welcome. Today I have some cards to share with you that I made using the Joy To The World Paper Pumpkin Kit. If you are not aware of what Paper Pumpkin is, let me explain. It is a craft subscription box through Stampin' Up! that is available in the USA. Every so often they release a special Paper Pumpkin kit that is available to all markets. The Joy To The World was one of those kits.

The kit is designed to make 8 cards, 4 of two different designs. These are the two cards it is designed to make.

But of course,  I couldn't just make those two designs. I always like to use products in different ways. So I also designed these cards. I did add a few other products like embossing folders and other dies, but they all use the stamp set that comes with the kit, and most have an element or two from the kit as well.

This last one is actually a fancy fold card. It is my favourite fancy fold to make because it is so easy to do. Just fold the card front back onto itself and add elements to the fold.

The Joy To The World Paper Pumpkin Kit is still available for purchase. You can still get it in time to make all your Christmas cards a breeze this year.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle
