Joy of Sets Blog Hop - Thankful For You

Hello and welcome. Today I am participating in a blog hop where our theme is all about being thankful. It is too easy to just live every day and take everything and everyone for granted. It's not intentional, it's just the way it is. So every so often it is nice to stop and realise that we have a lot to be thankful for, and it's even nicer to let people know that you are thankful for them in your life. I think in times like we live in today, it is very important to reach out and let people know how much they mean to us.

For my card today I wanted to create a card for someone special in my life. I can't mention who as she reads my blog, and I don't want to spoil it. But this person has just been through a very harrowing couple of months and is feeling quite low and vulnerable. But she is the most amazing caring and giving person I know. So I made this card for her.

This was such a fun card to make. I had an idea that I wanted the poppies to pop so created a dark water wash background and popped the poppies up with dimensionals. Because I had coloured the background, it meant that I needed to stamp all the stems and leaves onto Whisper White card stock and fussy cut them out. Just as well I love fussy cutting.

Now that you have seen my project of thanks, it is time to see what Lisa has made.

Here is the complete list of everyone hopping along today.
