Stitched Stars Dies

Hello and welcome. It is time for another Simply Inked Team Highlights. Each week we have a theme to work with and if any of the team want to play along, I either link to their blog or add their project to my post if they don't. Our theme this week is Stars.

For my project today, I decided to use the Stitched Stars Dies. I love these dies as they are so pretty and have so many elements to them. I think you could create so many wonderful projects with them.

I went with a red and copper theme them for the stars. I love the more subdued bling that the copper foil brings rather than using the gold. I love gold but thought I would try something different, and I love the way it came together.

The shine on the foil paper is so pretty. It definitely adds a special touch. I heat embossed the sentiment in copper as well.  I know this is a retired embossing powder, but I still had it in my stash so thought I would use it as it matched the copper foil sheets. But in hindsight, I think I would use white embossing powder next time as the sentiment doesn't really stand out the way I would like it to.

Because I used the flocked vellum paper as the card front, the empty stars of the swirl die just looked wrong, so I die cut it again and used the Cherry Cobbler stars to fill in with. Then I added a few of the star element embellishments to finish.

I love the delicate and intricate dies in this set. You could use them by themselves in so many ways to create an amazing array of projects. They can be used for any occasion as well, not just Christmas.

This week, Beryl has played along and made this. WOW look at all those stars. She definitely hit the brief. I love how Beryl always adds a special verse inside the card. I am sure they are appreciated by the recipients every time.

You can purchase from  Beryl here. These are the currently available products she has used - Christmas Gleaming stamp set and Plaid Tidings DSP.

You can purchase all the supplies I have used in my online shop here.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
