Hello and welcome. Recently I participated in a blog hop which focused on ways to use embossing folders. It reminded me about a technique that I haven't used for some time. Stamping on the folder itself. I first saw this technique a few years ago when we had a vintage car stamp. Someone had stamped it so it looked as if it was behind the trees. I was awe struck at how they did it and quickly learnt so I could do it too. Over time, I had forgotten about it and was reminded of it just last week. So I did a facebook live for my team and showed them the technique which resulted in this card.
This was so easy to do. I just stamped the deer on the side of the embossing folder where the trees are indented. Then I ran the embossing folder and paper through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. You end up with the embossed trees and the deer on the bits in between. I just love the effect. I added some water colouring to the trees to make them stand out a bit more too.
I would love to see what you do with this technique if you try it. Please feel free to share it in my group here.
Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle
