Blossoms in Bloom

Hello and welcome. Today I am taking part in the Ink & Inspiration blog hop where we are trying different techniques. There are a lot of techniques you can use when making cards, from quite complex techniques to the more simpler ones. Just like mine today.

The technique I have used today is quite a simple one. And it is actually one of the last steps on a card. The technique is to simply emboss the card front. When I say card front, I don't just mean to the bottom layer, but basically the complete card front minus any raised embellishments.

On my card above it probably doesn't show that well, and I will pop a photo below of a close up so you can see the effect. So on my card, I stamped the blossoms, then glued on the two die cut layers. Then I popped it into the embossing folder and ran it through the machine. This gives a great texture to the background and the stamped images as well as in this case, the die cut outlines as well. It was then glued to the card base and the gems and raised sentiment added to complete the card.

Here is a close up so you can see the effect this technique gives.

Now that you have seen my creation, it is time to see what everyone else has made.

You can purchase all the supplies I have used in my online store below, or by using any of my other ordering methods.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Narelle
