Partial Embossing

Hello and welcome. Today I have a card to share that uses partial embossing technique. This is not a technique I do a lot, and I don't know why as it makes a big impact. I'll share the card then talk about some features of it.

This is my 4th card for the #100daysproject, and it came about because I had a couple of flowers and leaves left over from a card I made last week. But I didn't want to just pop the flowers on a card front, I wanted to add some interest. So I decided to emboss the front panel, but leave some of it plain.
This was really easy to achieve. I just placed the card stock partially into the embossing folder then ran it through my machine. Instead of feeding the folder through with the hinge as the leading edge, I needed to turn the folder around and send it through sideways. I then repeated it with the other side of the card stock ensuring that I left a band in the middle un embossed. It really gives a lovely effect and is so easy to do.

I hope you have enjoyed today's card and I have inspired you to give it a go.
