Watercolour hydrangeas

Hello and welcome. Today I had a play with a different watercolour technique and a hydrangea stamp. I'll show you the card then talk about the technique.

I wanted to play with the technique of colouring a stamp then spritzing it with water. But when I pulled out this stamp and saw it was photopolymer, I wasn't sure it would work. I wanted to use markers to colour the stamp and wasn't sure they would colour onto the photopolymer like they do the red rubber stamps. To my surprise they coloured perfectly. I then spritzed the stamp lightly with water and stamped onto a piece of water colour paper. I stamped two more times with out recolouring or spritzing. I love how each time the stamp came out of little less whole and slightly paler.

Once it had dried I created a mask of the stamp and then placed it on top on each flower so I could sponge around them in blue ink.

I love how this card came out and will definitely be using this technique more often.

You can purchase all your card making and scrapbooking supplies from my online store below.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day.
